Architectural Photography Indoors
Taking indoor architectural photography is fun and challenging. For these photos I used speed lights to light different parts of the room. Starting with a dark exposure, I used the speed lights to light the different parts of the room. Post took the longest. Using Photoshop, I masked all the photos together to create a well-lit photo. Mike Kelley has an awesome technique when it comes to architectural photography. I tired to do a similar technique that he uses. The second photo posted shows all the different photos I masked together. My settings varied depending on the lighting. I kept a smaller aperture and my shutter speed stayed with in 1/100 to 1/200. My ISO was also 400. Here is a great website on learning how to take architectural photography.
Hey! I love your indoor shots. How did you find such great places to shoot? I love how they are composed. check out http://www.emilykayp.com/interior-architecture/
Your indoor architecture photography is beautiful! It’s crazy that you composited all of those images together, but it worked because the colors look awesome. The vibrance is done well, and the photos aren’t over exposed. Great job!
